Gait Analysis
with Sophie Combarel
Gait Analysis and Recall Programme
Using technology combined with specific muscle
function / orthopaedic tests, gait analysis can be collated. This is
useful when assessing your core stability; if osteopathic or
chiropractic adjustments are falling out too quickly.
All can often be changed by temporary or long term
Prescription Orthotics due to the foot and leg mechanics having a
referred effect up the body.
The TOG Gait Scan is used to assess and diagnose
foot biomechanics. It can measure the distribution of force throughout
the foot during each step to identify the distribution of pressure, high
pressure areas and gait abnormalities. The system accurately graphs
pressures exerted during the gait cycle during both walking and running.
We offer mini pre and post chiropractic gait scans
to judge this as well as full scans if orthotics are becoming a
necessary part of rehabilitation
We also provide a free of charge after care
check-up scan to monitor when to remove or change the orthotics as the
body is correcting, and advise on whether a 6, 12, 18 or 24 month recall
programme is appropriate for those patients with special needs.
Like glasses, the orthotic insoles that we provide
are made from a prescription, so they are custom made specifically to
YOUR needs to give the best possible support and relief from symptoms.
They help reduce pain throughout the feet, legs, knees, hips and back
and can dramatically improve and help maintain a healthy posture.
Unlike most insoles, which are made from polypropylene meaning they can flatten under constant stress and become less effective TOG orthotic insoles are made from a unique memory plastic which is guaranteed for life against breakage and will never flatten.
